The emblem of '' WELLSTONE/MADE IN JAPAN'' is engraved on the exterior of the reel.
The drag foot feels soft to the touch. We can engrave a picture, emblem, or name as an option on the backside of the reel. |

To take the reel part, you will remove two holed rock nut and a large-sized drag knob on the backside of the reel. First, turn left a rock nut which has two holes. You will have a special tool to turn it if you cannot remove by hand.

Next step is to remove the drag knob by turning it to the left. Please be cautious not to lose two metallic sphere which are equipped on the backside of the knob.
A center shaft which made of stainless steel is built-in at the reel's main body. We recommend you to spread special white grease well on the center part of the reel's main body. |

You can take body, spool, straight shaft, and spring into each parts when you remove the drag knob. Assembly of cork disk shall remain at the body side.

|
The core of WELLSTONE reel is the drag system, which attached to cork plate. Originally designed and developed this drag system has the high ability to control exquisitely from the week drag till the drag just before the locking. Even though the condition of the drag system is strongly tighten up, it will have loosen the string gradually against the fishfs rapid running. All the efficient functions show the persistency of the drag system.

There are various usage of bearings to WELLSTONE reel. You will see a big-sized bearing, which made of stainless steel, at the disk part. This is called main bearing. This bearing helps smooth rotation when it backspins.

|
A light blue one-way bearing is equipped at the center of the drag system. By the time shipping it off, it shall be used as right hand retrieve. However, in order to change the usage to left hand retrieve, you remove black cover on the upper part of the bearing by using a supplied tool and turn the bearing upside down and put it back in its place. Through the process, it enables to make use of it to left hand retrieve.

A big-sized thrust bearing is equipped with the lower part of drag system since a strong tension (pulling tension) has pressured to it. This bearing can create a smooth move not only against the force that can be sandwiched to the axle, but also to the spin as well. This function possibly makes its spin smoothly even the drag has been tightened up.

We put bearings at the top and bottom of the center part of spool to create more smooth spin. A lot of equipped bearings and highly sophisticated processing technique enable to create such gentle spin with no vibration.

This plunger makes a reversal sound by attaching to a dent at the backside of spool of this reel.

A serial number is engraved one by one at this part for saltwater reels. This cernter shaft is made of stainless steel, but it is hardened for the strength like the sword.

We consider to adjust a delicate tightness by equipping plungers which has two bearings at backside of the drag knob.

Due to the plenty of bearings and sophisticated parts have been used, WELLSTONE reel becomes fly-reel which create highly efficient and supper gentle spin.
